[ this -weak- ]

20 06 2007

This week has gone by in a blur.  It’s been frustrating, exciting, discouraging, encouraging, tiring, productive, and unyielding.  And completely contradictory [if you can't tell].

My health hasn’t gotten any better…if anything, I’m on a steady downward slope.  But I’m encouraged to know it’s all part of a plan.  I’ll be at Baptist Hospital with a specialist next month, so let’s pray they figure out what’s wrong with me!  Until then, I’m just void of energy.  I’m also intently searching for a job.  I had two interviews Friday; though both seemed to have gone really well, I’ve learned to not get my hopes up.  It’s been a real struggle trying to find a job!  Thankfully, Daniel’s been there to help me in my search.

Then there are all the wedding hassles.  I mean ‘joys’! :)   No, it really IS exciting getting things moving toward a wedding, but there are always the stressors of money, budgeting guest numbers, time consumption, irritable vendors, etc.  I already spend 50 hrs a week doing just the wedding stuff.  Who knows how I’ll be surviving once I DO get a job!   That’s an update on it all…it may not seem like much, but my fingers can hardly pump out these letters on the keyboard.  I know many of you are exhausted from your surroundings [new babies!  new jobs!  new houses! etc...], so keep me posted on how things are going and how best I may specifically pray for you.   Thanks!!

Oh, and according to the link Jbunch posted, I am 8420 days old, 202,097 hours old, or 727,552,529 seconds old.  Cool.

Lauren,
I wanted to comment on this post to thank you for appearing so strong in your weakness. You are undoubtedly in my prayers and I know that it is His plan that is being worked. Only when we have nothing to show/give can God truly be seen completely! :)

I know the wedding is very exciting and tiring at the same time. I wish you only the best in that and your job searches. It will work out in due time. Maybe God knows your health is not conducive to a “safe” job right now and perhaps that meeting next month with the specialist will give you answers and better health for an opportune time to work at that point. You never know.

I love you bunches! Seeing you has given me new motivation, smiles, and love! Keep posting on here when you can. I so greatly enjoy seeing your daily struggles and successed so I can pray and celebrate with you. Bold God all that you can and you’ll find Him in SO MANY places! :)

hug,
sunshine

Hey Lauren, I am sorry to hear that your health has not improved. I thought that after they discovered the gluten allergy things would begin to drastically improve. I really admire you strength because not knowing what is wrong can be a lingering stress over one’s shoulders and I will pray for you.

And speaking of lingering stresses over your head, haha, good luck with wedding planning…I cannot even begin to imagine how detailed it is- I think pre engaged folks like me tend to think “oh it’s not too bad”, but I am sure that I am in for a rude awakening someday.

I will not be in town on Thursday but I will see you on Sunday. Talk to you soon!

I checked out the Patio’s website tonight and it looks great! I like the logo more each time I look at it. The green really works with the homepage too. Thank you for working so hard on it. I can’t wait to see what you do next. I’m praying for your job right now. God gives good gifts to His children. He has something in mind for you even as you are reading this.
See you Sunday!
